The summer got away from me this year somehow. After barely playing any golf the last fourteen years, I joined The Lynx at Kingswood Park in 2004 and had a great time re-learning the game and seeing old friends. This year, although I play almost exclusively for exercise, I finished 3rd in the NB Seniors Championship and made the four-man provincial team which represented the province at the Canadian Seniors Championship in Beloeil, Quebec in September. I also reached the finals of the Kingswood club championship, losing to Tony MacKinnon, six-time NB Player of the Year.

As much as I enjoyed competing again, and I certainly did enjoy it, golf consumed my time and my focus much more than I had planned. I'll be ready to keep golf at bay in 2006 for I would much rather be out painting.
